About
Storytime
Storytime is a library program of picture book sharing,
rhyming, singing, finger playing, storytelling, and/or other related activities.
Storytime helps children increase listening and group cooperative skills while they hear
wonderful stories for their age group.
This program, for young children and adults, lasts about 30
minutes and is best for those who are at least 2 years old. Group size is limited for most storytimes. Pre-registration is required.

Before Storytime Tips For Parents and
Caregivers
- Discuss storytime with your child before you come,
explaining that there will be stories, books, fingerplays, puppets, songs, and other
children.
- Before the first day of storytime, visit the library and
meet the library staff.
- Allow for bathroom time before
storytime.
- Come early! Young children are easily distracted, and
latecomers disrupt activities.
- Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
- During Preschool Storytime, please stay nearby in the
library building.
- Do not leave the library.
