Library Processing Center 
The East County Facility is also the home of the Library Processing Center for the entire Lee County Library System. Library Processing is the heart of library operations, where materials are ordered, received, processed, catalogued and distributed to all of the library locations. Approximately 200,000 items pass through Library Processing each year, including books, books on CD, DVDs, software, music CDs, newspapers, magazines, online resources, and more.

The processing center is always looking for volunteers (age 14+) who can assist with the processing of new materials (i.e. applying barcodes, labels and security labels) or cleaning/resurfacing of DVDs and CDs.  This volunteer work is seated, and takes place in the air-conditioned comfort of an office environment.  It?s an easy, fun way to volunteer individually or in small groups ? and see all of the new titles coming into the libraries!  If interested, please contact Linda Phillips at 239-533-4181 or lphillips@leegov.com.
