To establish a new account with Lee County Utilities, you will need the following:
1. A Valid Drivers License and/or other Form of Identification
2. Proof of Ownership, Lease or Rental Agreement for the service address
3. New Account Application (Download Here)
IMPORTANT: The name on the Account Application must match the name on the Proof of Ownership, Lease or Rental Agreement.
4. Security Deposit (See Rates & Fees)
NOTE: After 23 months of services with a good payment history, deposits (plus interest) will be credited to your account. If services are terminated before 23 months have lapsed, the deposit will be applied to your final bill. If there is a credit balance remaining on your closed account, the balance will be refunded to you by check. If transferring service to another LCU service address, deposits may be transferred to the new service address.
The deposit may be waived if you can provide one (1) of the following:
A. You have had an established account with LCU within the last two (2) years meeting both of the following criteria's:
i. Service has not been disconnected for a delinquent unpaid balance w/in the last 12 months of service and,
ii. The account has had less than two (2) late charges posted to it for past due balances w/in the past 12 months of service
B. You can provide a letter of reference from your previous utility provider (Gas, Water, Electric) confirming that services were provided w/in the last 2 years AND that your account has had a good payment history w/in the 12 months of service.

If you are faxing your applications, be sure to include the following:
A Credit Card Authorization form (if paying by credit card)
Letter of Reference or indicate your last LCU service address on your application (for waived deposits)
A copy of your driver's license
A copy of the first and last page of the Proof of Ownership, Lease or Rental Agreement showing Names, the Service Address and Signatures
