PROJECT DETAILS:
SCOPE OF WORK: The improvements under this contract consist of replacement of an existing 704 feet long drawbridge with a new 675 feet long drawbridge on County Road 78 (Pine Island road) over Matlacha Pass (Charlotte Harbor) within the unincorporated community of Matlacha including associated roadway improvements extending approximately 356 feet west of the west end of the bridge and 525 feet east of the east end of the bridge.
This project is being bid in the following manner:
Base Bid – Bridge/Roadway Construction
Alternate 1: with Standard Bond/Progress Payments
Alternate 2: with Standard Bond/Lump Sum
Alternate 3: with Cash Bond/Progress Payment
Alternate 4: with Cash Bond/Lump Sum
Bidders are required to bid the base bid and MAY select one or more of the proposed alternates. Lee County recognizes that there is a possibility of having five separate low bidders. Award will be made by the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and award will be dependant upon the payment method the Board chooses.
