CONSTRUCTION LICENSING EXAMS AND SPONSORSHIP

Exam results acquired through testing provided by Prometric Inc. are the only exam results accepted for licensing in Unincorporated Lee County.

SPONSORSHIP: Before you can register to take an exam at a Prometric testing facility you will need to acquire a sponsorship acknowledgement from our office. You may apply for sponsorship via email, regular mail, or fax:

·        Email: ContractorLicensing@leegov.com.  Complete the candidate section of Prometric’s Exam Registration Form; Scan the document and attach it to an email message, in the body of your message please include the type of license you plan on applying for. The type of licenses and the name of the exams may be viewed by clicking here.

Upon receipt of your application we will reply via email and provide you with a link to process you $35.00 online payment. Upon receipt of payment we will forward via mail your sponsorship form.
 

·        Fax: (239) 533-8577. Complete the candidate section of Prometric’s Exam Registration Form; On the cover sheet please include the type of license you plan on applying for and if available an email address so that we may contact you. The types of licenses and the names of the exams may be viewed by clicking here.

Upon receipt of your application we will reply by email or by phone with directions for payment. If you provide us with an email address we will provide the link for online payment. Upon receipt of payment we will forward via mail your sponsorship form.

 

·        Mail: Complete the candidate section of Prometric’s Exam Registration Form and mail the document Attn: Lee County Contractor Licensing, P.O. Box 398 Fort Myers, FL.  33902-0398. Include a check for $35.00 made payable to Lee County BOCC and a letter indicating the type of license you plan on applying for. The types of licenses and the names of the exams may be viewed by clicking here. Your sponsorship form will be returned by mail.

 

EXAM: You will need to submit the Registration form to Prometric Inc. before your exam cut-off date. The exam cut off dates can be found on page 8 of Prometric’s Registration and scheduling guide. (Please allow adequate time for Lee County to return your registration form to you by mail when considering your exam date.)
