Code
violation complaints can be viewed and tracked by clicking the ‘Econnect
Online Tracking’ link below. After review of our database, if you need to
file a code enforcement complaint for a property located within
Unincorporated Lee County you may send an email to
CodeEnforcement@leegov.com or call (239)
533-8895 between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm. Complaints are investigated with minimal delay. Complaints and
inquires about code violations for properties located outside of
Unincorporated Lee County, such as in
the Cities of Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Sanibel or in the
Town of Fort Myers Beach, must be reported directly to those jurisdictions.

Pay Fees and
Track Code Violation Cases:
Click the link below and do the following: If
you know the violation case number, you may enter it in the Permit / Case
number field. If the violation case number is not known, enter the property
address or the strap number in
the appropriate fields then click "Search." If there has been a
code enforcement complaint made against the property there will be a case
number listed beginning with the letters "VIO." By clicking on
the case number you can view limited information about the complaint and pay any fees that may be due.

Examiner – Scheduled Code Enforcement Hearings
If a code violation is not abated with in the time
allotted, the case may be scheduled before the Lee County Hearing Examiner.
The Hearing Examiner has the authority to impose fines which may result in a
lien being filed against the owner of the property. You may view a list of cases scheduled to
be heard by the Lee County Hearing Examiner by clicking one of the following
links.

Environmental
Violations/Complaints
Environmental violations include the unpermitted clearing of trees or other vegetation, unpermitted dredging or filling of wetlands, and
noncompliance with development approval requirements and protected species
issues. Environmental violations
should be reported to the
Division
of Environmental Sciences, Environmental Codes and Enforcement staff member.
Noise complaints may be made directly to
the Sheriff's office by calling (239) 477-1000.
Complaints regarding illegal dumping and trash
pick-up may be made by calling the Lee County Division of Solid Waste at
(239) 533-8000.
