Marianne Berkes

Marianne Berkes is the author of many nature-themed picture books, including “Seashells by the Seashore,” which was inspired by a trip to Sanibel Island.  Berkes, a former children’s librarian, is also the award-winning author of “Marsh Music, Marsh Morning,” and “Over in the Ocean in a Coral Reef.”  Her newest picture book, “Over in the Jungle: A Rainforest Rhyme,” will be published in early 2007.
