Historical Fact & Fiction at the Burroughs Home

Admission: Adults $5; children and Uncommon Friends Foundation members free

Join the Uncommon Friends Foundation for a day of reading designed for all ages! Historical themes with local references make these authors a must-read. Both Edwin Raffa and Prudy Taylor Board will discuss their latest publications and answer questions about their works. Each will have books on hand for purchase and signing. Bring a blanket and find a spot on the lawn as this majestic riverfront property is the perfect place to cozy up with a good book.

Author Meet & Greet, book talk and signing opportunities:

10:00 a.m. - Edwina Raffa, author of children's books: Resident of Fort Myers Beach and co-author of Race to Kitty Hawk, Escape to the Everglades, and Kidnapped in Key West.  These books also feature an optional teacher's Activity Guide that includes reference to historical characters, Sunshine Standards, and more.

12:00 p.m. - Prudy Taylor Board: Former resident of Fort Myers and author of15 non-fiction books and seven novels, including her newest Murder a la Carte.

Property will be open until 3:00 p.m.
