O'Neal
is a career law enforcement officer
and
author of the science fiction novel The Human Disguise.
O’Neal also writes a popular series of crime novels
under the name James O Born.
Each of his novels is based on some aspect of his career.
His third novel, Escape Clause, won the inaugural
Florida Book Award for Best Novel.
