 All yard waste picked up in Lee County is processed into mulch. The mulch is then made available at special mulch sites to residents at no cost. There are six locations throughout the county where residents may pick up the mulch. You must bring your own container.
The locations are as follows:  | In Bonita Springs, at the Imperial River boat ramp on U.S. 41. | | In South Ft. Myers, Three Oaks Community Park across from Three Oaks Middle School. | | In Lehigh Acres, Lehigh Acres Community Park at Williams and 5th Street. | | On Pine Island, near Stringfellow Road and Turtle Trail, across from the new Matlacha Sewage Treatment Plant | | In North Ft. Myers, behind the North Fort Myers Library on Old U.S. 41. The Solid Waste Division greatly depends on residents to inform us of the mulch availability status. Please call our office at 533-8000 if the mulch site you are visiting is low on material; your effort is greatly appreciated. |
